Summer Fashion Idols
As the heat has arrived, I thought I'd share my fashion idols to give us all a little bit of inspiration for our summer wardrobe! Let's kick things off so we can start stocking up on pretty dresses and floral crop tops.
Lily James as Donna in Mamma Mia 2
Dungarees are a staple in most women's wardrobe because they are SO comfy and versatile, especially loose ones with a bikini underneath. I'm not usually into 3-quarter-length shorts but they look really flattering on Lily's shape so I've been inspired. My mum only ever wears maxi skirts and dresses so I love floor length skirts but particularly this colour that I would never have thought to wear myself and the shape and light material that flew in the breeze (I love the scene where she's picking Lemons).
Aimee Song (Song of Style)
Pastels never go out of style - and I'm really loving lilac at the moment so can't wait to stock up on pastel mini skirts. All-white never goes out of fashion and I love my high waisted wide leg white trousers but I'd like some tighter ones (top middle). I love the idea of wearing a 'dressy' outfit in the middle of the day because why the hell not?
Vanessa, aka the queen of boho: I love flowy, lacy, pretty and floral clothes and I think I'd wear every single thing in Vanessa's wardrobe. I always look for the perfect lace / mesh dress every year (this year I found one in Primark for £18). She looks so effortless and hippie like with her long curly hair. Also, if you suit hats - don't waste the gift!

Bella is the queen of street style in my opinion - she always looks so on trend and 'put together' which I guess is her job as a model, even in tracksuits. Jumpsuits, knit two-pieces, dainty skirts, mom jeans and crop tops are all outfits I want to include in my wardrobe this year. But my favourite style is a pretty little summer dress with boots (bottom right) because of the clashing concepts. Mom jeans and crop tops look so effortless but goes a long way, and you can change the crop tops and it looks like a completely different outfit.
I don't know what it is about going on holiday but I always feel like I can get away with taking a few more fashion risks, so go crazy with the funky patterns! I'm all about embracing the natural look so I can't wait to let my hair dry naturally and embrace the ringlets.
Jessica Anne Woodley
I couldn't decide on what my favourite outfits were because she is the queen of summer! I love floaty dresses and any crop top combo! She always pulls off really quirky outfits and her bikinis are to die for so check her out on Instagram.
Ok, so Orlagh is not a celebrity but she is a fashion ICON and my uni housemate. Honestly, I have never seen so much variety in one wardrobe and annoyingly, she can get away with outfits that most people can't, like clashing prints - she really can pull of a n y t h i n g. I especially love how unique her style is: her mum made her crochet shorts (left), amazing?!. Her Instagram is super aesthetic too.
Likewise, Elise is one of those girls that is always on trend and can pull every single one off. Every time she posts something on Instagram I fall in love with her outfits (I've never seen her wear the same thing twice and I am very jealous).
Pretty much everyone's girl crush at the moment right? Her ball and event gowns are amazing but her casual wear seems so effortless and thrown on but always looks well thought out. I'm looking for a pretty little wrap over skirt so if you find any, send me the link.
